Allan Harwood
Podiatrist
BHMS, Bachelor of Applied Science (Podiatry), MA Pod A
Allan graduated from UQ with a Bachelor of Human Movement Studies in 1990. He then went on to complete a Bachelor of Applied Science in Podiatry at QUT in 1993.
Starting work in Rockhampton in Private Practice in 1994, he has extensive experience in all facets of Podiatry. Allan has maintained his Podiatry services continually in Rockhampton and Yeppoon ever since.
With a keen interest in sporting performance and injury prevention, Allan has been involved in playing tennis for over 30 years and is an avid runner. Allan participated in his first half marathon in 2023.
Allan joined the Rockhampton Girls Grammar School Board in 2023. He is passionate about RGGS as all of his daughters attended.
In his spare time, Allan enjoys spending time with his girls and telling bad Dad jokes.
Special Interests: Sports podiatry and diabetes management.
Brandon Worner
Podiatrist
Bachelor of Health Sciences / Master of Podiatric Practice, MA Pod A
Brandon completed his degree at Latrobe University, Bendigo, in 2014, where he successfully graduated with a bachelor of Health Science and Master of Podiatric Practice. After commencing his career at CQ Podiatry in 2015, he subsequently moved back to Victoria to further his clinical expertise closer to home, only to return to CQ Podiatry in 2020. In 2023, Brandon assumed a pivotal role as a partner at CQ Podiatry.
Brandon boasts a comprehensive knowledge in all facets of Podiatry, showcasing a particular dedication to the resolution of challenging foot-related issues. His commitment to professional development is evident through his extensive training in injection therapies, including prolotherapy, establishing him as the first podiatrist to offer this treatment modality in Central Queensland
Special Interests: Injection therapies, plantar warts and ingrown toenails.
Alesha Stehbens
Endorsed Podiatrist
BHMS, Bachelor of Podiatric Practice (HONS), MA Pod A
Alesha grew up in Rockhampton and graduated from CQUniversity with a Bachelor of Podiatry Practice with Honours in 2020. Passionate about helping people stay active and pain-free, she has developed special interests in dance, paediatric podiatry, and running-related injuries.
Having danced locally for 18 years herself, Alesha has a strong understanding of the physical demands placed on dancers. She is a qualified dance teacher (ADA) and has undertaken additional training in pre-pointe assessments and injury prevention. In 2020, she completed and presented her honours thesis on the incidence of injuries in ballet and tap dancers at the Australian Podiatry Association Conference.
Alesha also has a keen interest in sporting injuries and enjoys supporting athletes of all levels. As a member of Rockhampton Road Runners, she is always happy to answer questions and support fellow runners in achieving their goals safely.
In addition to her clinical interests, Alesha is experienced in the use of ultrasound therapy to assist in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, including plantar fasciitis, sprains, bruising, swelling, and other soft tissue injuries.
Alesha has also recently completed further education to become an endorsed podiatrist. An endorsed podiatrist is an advanced foot specialist accredited by the Podiatry Board of Australia and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) to independently prescribe, supply, and administer selected scheduled medicines, including antibiotics, antifungals, local anaesthetics, and corticosteroid injections for the treatment of foot and lower limb conditions. This additional qualification allows Alesha to provide an expanded level of care and treatment within the clinic.
Alesha consults in Rockhampton Monday to Friday.
Special Interests: Dancing, paediatrics and running related injuries.
Maddy Steel
Podiatrist
BHMS, B HlthSci/MPodPrac, MA Pod A A
Maddy completed her Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Podiatric Practice at Latrobe University in Bendigo, in 2017. Maddy has practiced podiatry across the country, including Victoria and Queensland in private practice and the Northern Territory in an Aboriginal Health Organisation. Following this she moved to Yeppoon, joining the CQ Podiatry team in 2024.
Maddy enjoys all aspects of podiatry, particularly she has a passion for biomechanical issues including heel and foot pain, running related injuries, as well as wound care and diabetes assessments.
Maddy lives an active life and understands the process of returning to sport after injuries. Further study has allowed Maddy to use different treatment techniques including dry needling, shockwave therapy and foot mobilisations to help her clients get back to being active and pain free.
Maddy presently holds appointments in both Rockhampton and Yeppoon.
Special Interests: Wound care, diabetes management and sporting injuries.
Administration Team
Kellie Brown
Practice Manager
Kellie spent her early childhood in Longreach until boarding at The Cathedral College in Rockhampton for her high school years. Upon completion of her high school studies Kellie went on to study Bachelor of Business - Management graduating in 2013 at CQ University and joined our team in early 2014 as our Practice Manager.
With nearly 10 years of experience as our Practice Manager Kellie’s caring nature and knowledge of all things business and Podiatry is invaluable.
In her spare time Kellie enjoys spending time with her young family and caravanning Australia.
Renee Richards
Support Staff
Renee was born and raised in Rockhampton. When not at work, she enjoys being home on her acreage or camping with her husband and 3 kids. Renee has been a part of the CQ Podiatry family since 2016.
Kate Grant
Support Staff
Kate joined our team in early 2024. Having worked previously in the medical field, her knowledge and patient rapport is her strength in joining our team.
Kate is a mother to 2 young boys and enjoys relaxing at the beach with a good book.
